Nicole Reine Lepaute

Nicole Reine Lepaute, born Etable at the Luxembourg Palace in Paris 5 January 1723, was a French astronomer and mathematician. She calculated the return of Halley's Comet with Jérôme Lalande and Alexis Claude Clairaut. And the solar eclipse of 1764 and constructed a table of the planetary system.The asteroid 7720 Lepaute and the lunar crater Lepaute are named after her.

Wonderful fabric - a print true to period (hard to find!) and material pleasant to work with. I needed it for a dress for a museum Biedermeier project, so historical accuracy was key.
