1780s Floral Cotton for Doll-Scale Projects

This doll-size version of the design is created for smaller historical sewing projects where a reduced-scale print is needed. The floral pattern features red roses, flowing ribbons, and small decorative motifs on a light background, giving the fabric a clear 18th-century character in miniature scale.

The colourway reflects the softened “SunBurn” appearance, where the greens appear faded as we often see surviving historical textiles today. This makes the design especially useful for miniature garments where both pattern scale and historical feeling matter.

Well suited for

Ideal for doll-size gowns, miniature robes à l’anglaise, small petticoats, doll accessories, scale model garments, and other projects where a historically inspired floral print needs to work in a smaller format.

Design & Historical Context

The original design is inspired by late 18th-century floral textiles, where ribbons, roses, and small scattered motifs were used to create movement and refinement. This doll-size version keeps the visual language of the original while adapting the scale for miniature historical dressmaking.
