Sommery is inspired by a block-printed woven muslin open-robe, circa 1800, featuring a fine trellis weave printed in blue, red, and brown, with delicate floral trails. The original garment includes an empire-line bodice with linen inner panels and lining (bust approx. 81 cm / 32 in).

Christina Krook, born 1742, was a Finnish school leader. Christina Krook was the daughter of the national chamberlain in Turku and Pori counties, Gustaf Krook, and Anna Christina Sund. She never married. She grew up on the manor Järppilän, until the family moved to Turku in 1764.
