Inspired by a mid-19th-century textile from a museum collection, this striking design features bold, wide stripes in shades of porcelain blue and white. The original pattern, once printed in green, has been lovingly reimagined to capture the elegance of the early 1850s.

The name “Aunt Blue” is a playful nod to Elsa Beskow’s beloved story of Aunt Green, Aunt Brown, and Aunt Lilac — a tribute to both color and character. Perfect for a voluminous day dress or historical costume that refuses to go unnoticed.

Elsa Beskow was a famous Swedish author and illustrator of children’s books.
Born Elsa Maartman on February 1874, in Stockholm, Sweden, She was known for her contributions to children’s literature. She studied Art Education at Konstfack in Stockholm.
