Production & Fulfilment
All products from SummerSunStories are made-to-order (MTO). Production begins only after a confirmed and paid order has been received.
This production method allows for customer-specific designs while reducing overproduction and unnecessary environmental impact.
Order Lead Time (OLT)
The estimated Order Lead Time (OLT) is typically between 21–35 working days from payment confirmation to shipment.
All timelines are indicative only and may vary depending on production queues, season, technical adjustments, or reprints.
SummerSunStories is not responsible for delays in production, shipment, or final delivery.
Shipping & Delivery
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, size, and destination.
Orders are shipped directly from production when applicable, in order to reduce delivery time, cost, and environmental impact.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation including tracking details.
The customer is responsible for monitoring the shipment using the provided tracking information.
Custom Duties, Taxes & Import Fees
All prices shown in the shop are exclusive of customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees unless explicitly stated otherwise.
The end customer is fully responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or additional fees charged by the destination country.
These charges are determined by local authorities and are typically collected by the shipping carrier (such as DHL or UPS) after arrival.
SummerSunStories has no control over these charges and cannot predict or influence them.
Shipping Responsibility
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all delivery details are correct, including address, recipient name, phone number, and email.
SummerSunStories is not responsible for:
- incorrect or incomplete delivery information
- failed delivery attempts
- delays caused by customs clearance
- delays caused by shipping carriers
- additional costs due to import procedures
Unclaimed or Refused Shipments
If a shipment is not collected, refused, or returned to sender, the order will not be automatically refunded.
All costs associated with return shipping, customs charges, handling fees, and administrative costs will be deducted from any potential refund.
If return costs exceed the order value, no refund will be issued.
The customer is responsible for tracking the shipment and ensuring that the parcel is collected within the time frame specified by the carrier.
Damaged Shipments
If the parcel appears damaged upon delivery or collection:
- do not accept the parcel
- document the damage with photos
- contact SummerSunStories immediately
If damage is discovered after delivery, photos must be taken before opening the parcel.

Weight & Shipping Adjustments
For larger or complex orders, shipping weight and cost may be adjusted to reflect actual logistics requirements.
If any adjustment is necessary, the customer will be informed prior to shipment.
Please note: This Shipping Policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
