This late 18th-century inspired silk satin fabric is based on elegant Empire and Regency fashion from the years around 1797–1799. The flowing design and luminous silk surface reflect the refined neoclassical aesthetics that became fashionable during the transition between the Rococo period and the early 19th century Empire silhouette.
The graceful textile expression works especially beautifully for empire gowns, evening overdresses, lightweight historical fashion, theatrical costume, and elegant historical sewing projects inspired by the high-waisted silhouettes of the late Georgian and early Regency era.
Well suited for
Perfect for Empire gowns, Regency dresses, evening overdresses, historical silk gowns, theatrical costume, historical reenactment, lightweight overlays, decorative historical sewing, and refined neoclassical interiors.
Design & Historical Context

Fine silk textiles with elegant drape became central to the new Empire style, where dresses gathered beneath the bust and flowed into lightweight skirts with graceful movement.
This historical reproduction fabric recreates the elegant atmosphere associated with late 18th-century silk fashion and the refined neoclassical style popular during the early Empire and Regency period.
The material is Silk Satin.
The width of the fabric is 137 cm.
