Custom historical fabric design for theatre
Custom historical fabric design and textile recreation developed for professional theatre productions, based on documented period sources.
Theatre Production – Godtemplarna (2026)
For the 2026 theatre production Godtemplarna at Arbogateatern, this work was developed in close collaboration with costume designer Emelie Herzman. Fabrics from my 1880s collection were selected and refined together with carefully chosen complementary materials, ensuring both historical accuracy and a cohesive costume design for the stage.

Each textile is developed with a strong focus on historical accuracy, correct scale, and practical usability, ensuring that the final fabric supports both visual authenticity and functional garment construction on stage.
Professional Collaboration in Historical Costume
This work was developed in collaboration with Emelie Herzman, a highly experienced historical costume maker with over 20 years of professional practice.
She has studied fashion and costume history at the University of Gothenburg and Uppsala University, and is trained in pattern drafting, corsetry, millinery, and embroidery.
Her commissions include work for institutions such as Kalmar Castle, SVT, and the Danish Museum of National History, as well as private clients. She also teaches historical sewing and embroidery through courses and workshops.
At Arbogateatern, she works as a costume designer, actor, playwright, and artistic director, contributing to historically informed productions and performances across Sweden.
