Historical Apron Textile Recreation
Historical apron textile recreation developed in collaboration with Blekinge Museum, based on an original preserved in their archive.
I recreated the Blekinge Förkläde 17600 design in collaboration with Blekinge Museum , following requests from folk costume enthusiasts.
The original apron is preserved in the museum’s archive, and the recreation process focused on translating the historical textile into a usable fabric while maintaining its original character, scale, and expression.
This project developed smoothly and demonstrates how historical textile references can be successfully transformed into accurate and functional reproductions for traditional dress.
