This design is inspired by an 18th-century Oberkampf (Jouy) fabric — a graceful scrolling floral printed on a delicately stippled ground with refined “pinceautée” hand-painted details. The colors have been softened to achieve a natural luster, reminiscent of aged cotton rather than modern white.

Its elegance closely resembles the 1780 Aurora pattern found in a Swedish museum, making it an ideal choice for historically inspired gowns and interiors.

Wonderful fabric - a print true to period (hard to find!) and material pleasant to work with. I needed it for a dress for a museum Biedermeier project, so historical accuracy was key. The shop Owner answered all my questions quickly, competently and with great dedication. The print arrived well in time. Will definitely order from them again!
