Inspiration to this design I have found from a sample collection own by Anders Berch (1711–1774): He was a professor of economics in Uppsala, Sweden. He created a large collection of textile material samples from trading houses in Europe to teach students how an item was made.
I have given a name to this fabric after Ulrica Fredrica Pasch, born in 1735 in Stockholm,. was a portrait painter and the first female member of the Academy of Fine Arts. As a member of the well-known Pasch family of artists and with steady employment on the flourishing portrait market in both Sweden and Finland, she was well anchored in the 18th century art world.
