Women’s Skirt, Ylikiiminki, Finland – Late 18th to Early 19th Century

Based on an original skirt (hame) from Ylikiiminki in northern Finland, preserved in the ethnographic collections of the National Museum of Finland. The fabric is a dark brown -ground printed cotton (calico) decorated with stylised yellow and orange floral sprigs — a vivid example of imported chintz used in Finnish folk dress during the late 1700s and early 1800s.

This reproduction captures the warm tones and small-scale symmetry of the original print, suitable for traditional skirts, aprons, or accessories from the Gustavian to early Empire period.

The width of the fabric is 147 cm
And MOQ is 1 meter
