Product Description

This fabric is a reproduction based on an original Blekinge apron held by Blekinge Museum. The original apron is described as a thin wool apron in plain weave, with an oak leaf pattern in blue and beige and a ground filled with brown stars.

The apron was found in Lars-Petterstugan and is connected to the Blekinge dress tradition. The original object may date from around the 1750s, and it may also represent hand-printed textile work from Blekinge.

This reproduction is available in Cotton Satin. This fabric type has been selected after consultation with people knowledgeable in folk costume and historical dress, in order to offer a practical and visually suitable option for reconstructing the apron.

The minimum order quantity is 1 metre. After ordering 1 metre, you may also order an additional 0.5 metre if needed.
