Red & Green Floral Geometric Cotton Print – Early Victorian Style

This lively ornamental print combines playful butterfly-like floral motifs in raspberry pink, warm yellow, and leafy green with irregular geometric medallions outlined in soft brown and burgundy tones. The scattered composition creates a cheerful and energetic rhythm across the light cream ground.

The unusual combination of stylised florals, abstract shapes, and dotted decorative textures gives the textile a whimsical yet highly decorative early Victorian character. The vivid contrast between bright pinks, earthy browns, fresh greens, and golden yellow creates a charming novelty-print appearance typical of romantic printed cottons from the 1830s and 1840s.

The design recalls small-scale calico prints used for practical day dresses, wrappers, aprons, children's clothing, and decorative household textiles during the early Victorian period.

Perfect for:

  • Early Victorian day dresses and wrappers
  • Gigot sleeve gowns and historical bodices
  • Aprons and playful historical accessories
  • Children’s clothing and doll projects
  • Quilting and decorative cottage-style interiors
