Early 18th-Century Print, c. 1710

This striking pattern dates to the early 18th century, around 1710, when bold monochrome prints were used for furnishings, jackets, and quilted petticoats. The design features scrolling paisley-like motifs and stylized rosettes arranged in a rhythmic, geometric layout — a perfect example of the transition from Baroque grandeur to Rococo lightness.

Printed in a single deep olive tone on a soft cream ground, it reflects the craftsmanship of early European block printing and the elegance of the pre-Rococo aesthetic. Ideal for historical reconstruction or interior projects inspired by early 1700s design.

This Design is dedicated for Margareta Olufsdotter.

Margareta Olufsdotter, known as Greta, was a Finnish "klok gumma" (wise woman) active around the late 1600s and early 1700s in Österbotten. She was respected for her knowledge of herbal medicine and natural healing, serving as an important healer in her community long before formal medical care was widely available. Though little written documentation exists, Greta is remembered through local stories as a symbol of traditional folk wisdom and healing practices in Finland.
