1820s Cotton Print – Teal Floral Vine Pattern

Inspired by an original circa 1820 day dress sold at Kerry Taylor Auctions, London. The original was roller-printed cotton with delicate teal-blue flowers and scrolling wine-red grasses — a graceful, early-Regency motif typical of English manufacture around 1820.

This reproduction captures that refined simplicity: light ground, airy vines, and soft contrast suited for Empire-line gowns, spencers, or accessories. Printed on fine cotton for historical dressmaking or timeless summer fashion.

Recommended fabric type fora dress would be Cotton Voile.

Emilie Flygare-Carlén was a Swedish author, youngest of 14 children.
Already as a 12-year-old, she was allowed to accompany her father on freight trips on the Bohus coast.
When she was seventeen, she had to take personal responsibility for a boat; the environments she writes about in her Bohus books she has experienced herself.
